Current Affairs में सबसे बड़ा risk outdated या context-less fact है। Static GK की तरह एक answer हमेशा वर्षों तक same नहीं रहता। इसलिए date, event period, source और “as of” context के साथ notes बनाना competitive-exam preparation में जरूरी है।
Dynamic fact पहचानें
Office holder, ranking, index, scheme allocation, award year, sports winner, report value, appointment और current institution details बदल सकते हैं। ऐसे facts के notes में month/year या relevant edition लिखें।
Primary source priority
Government scheme के लिए ministry/PIB/official portal, report के लिए publishing institution, appointment के लिए official release और election/result जैसी चीजों के लिए competent authority source देखें। Coaching summary revision में useful है, verification का final layer नहीं।
Publication date बनाम event date
Article आज publish हुआ हो सकता है लेकिन event पिछले महीने का हो। Notes में event date/period capture करें, केवल page timestamp नहीं। Current-affairs chronology questions में यह फर्क important है।
Versioned reports
Indices/reports annual या periodic editions में आते हैं। Rank/value लिखते समय report year/edition जोड़ें। अलग editions के numbers mix हो जाएँ तो दोनों individually correct होकर भी answer wrong context में हो सकते हैं।
Screenshot problem
Cropped screenshot source, date या qualifier हटा देता है। Important fact को screenshot से note करने के बाद original page/PDF locate करें। Forwarded graphic को citation न बनाएं।
Revision window
Older current affairs को exam timeline के अनुसार revise करें, लेकिन very old dynamic facts को current status के साथ confuse न करें। Question wording यदि “in 2025” पूछती है तो 2026 status answer नहीं है।
Teaching/content creation
Student-facing post/video में uncertain current fact हो तो publish करने से पहले web verification करें और date context बोलें। “Latest” शब्द बिना check के use करना avoid करें।

उदाहरण के लिए किसी annual ranking का number बिना edition year के अधूरा note है। उसी तरह current office-holder को पिछले वर्ष के question के answer से replace नहीं करना चाहिए; question जिस समय-period को पूछता है वही context निर्णायक है।
Revision के समय हर dynamic fact को रोज़ दोबारा web-search करना practical नहीं है। इसलिए source trail रखें और only high-change items को exam के करीब re-check करें। अगर source updated/corrected version देता है तो पुराने screenshot के बजाय current official document को master record बनाएं।
