Last updated: 14 August 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how LV Typing handles information when you browse the website, create a student account, use typing practice features, purchase Premium access, contact support or interact with analytics and advertising services.
1. Information you choose to provide
You may provide information directly when you create an account, purchase Premium access or contact us. Depending on the feature, this can include your name or display name, email address, support message, plan/coupon selection and information you voluntarily include in a support request.
Passwords are handled through the WordPress account system. LV Typing does not intentionally display or store your plain-text password for administrators. You are responsible for using a strong password and keeping it confidential.
2. Account and authentication data
Student registration creates a WordPress account when registration is enabled. Authentication cookies and security/session records may be used to keep you signed in, verify requests and enforce account protections such as the Premium one-active-session rule.
3. Typing practice and saved exam results
Live typing metrics can be calculated in your browser for immediate feedback. For secured Exam Mode result saving, the final typed response may also be sent to the LV Typing server at Finish so the saved result can be verified against the exact source snapshot, the selected evaluator/rule profile and trusted server timing. The raw final typed response is used for result verification and is not intentionally stored in the permanent progress-history table.
When you are logged in, saved result history can include practice type, exam or sheet reference, language, difficulty/input mode, evaluator/rule reference, duration, WPM, accuracy, mistakes, words typed, result status and date/time.
4. Premium, billing and payment information
When Premium checkout is used, LV Typing may retain transaction records such as account/user reference, order/reference ID, selected plan, original/final amount, discount, coupon, payment status, Razorpay order/payment identifiers, purchase date, Premium start and expiry, refund status and related audit information where applicable.
Razorpay may be used as the payment processor. Payment credentials such as card numbers, UPI credentials or banking passwords are handled through the payment provider’s checkout/processes and are not intentionally stored in the LV Typing payment tables. Razorpay and your bank/payment provider process information under their own privacy and security terms.
5. Technical and security information
Hosting infrastructure, security tools and web-server logs may process technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, requested URL, time of request, referrer and error/security events. This information can be used to operate the website, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, investigate payment/account problems and protect users.
6. Local visitor analytics and traffic safety
When local visitor analytics or plugin-managed advertising traffic-safety is enabled, LV Typing may use a first-party browser identifier named lvts_visitor_id. It is a random identifier used to distinguish visits for local page-view statistics and abnormal-refresh/ad-traffic safeguards. The local analytics table stores a one-way keyed hash of this identifier rather than the raw identifier, and the LV Typing local analytics system is designed not to store raw IP addresses in that visitor table.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
LV Typing may use essential cookies for login, security and website functionality, and local storage for interface preferences. Analytics, traffic-safety, consent or advertising services may use additional browser storage, IP addresses, web beacons or similar technologies subject to their purpose, provider policies and applicable consent requirements.
8. Google AdSense and advertising
LV Typing may use Google AdSense on eligible long-form informational content after advertising is enabled. Third-party vendors, including Google and approved advertising technology providers, may place or read cookies, use web beacons, IP addresses or similar technologies to serve, limit, secure and measure advertising in accordance with their policies and the visitor’s applicable consent choices.
The LV Typing plugin is designed not to intentionally load its AdSense script in the focused live typing-test workspace, account/payment/legal pages, or for administrators and active Premium users. Other site-owner or third-party integrations must be configured consistently with the same policy intent.
9. Consent and regional requirements
Where consent is required for advertising or measurement technologies, an appropriate consent-management solution should be used before the relevant processing. For Google advertising in regions where Google requires a certified consent-management platform, that platform must be configured separately; this Privacy Policy does not itself replace a consent mechanism.
10. Contact form and support
When you submit the contact form, the information you provide is sent to the website administrator so the message can be reviewed and answered. Do not send passwords, full card details, UPI PINs, government identity numbers or other sensitive credentials through a general support message.
11. Third-party and official links
Exam pages may link to official recruitment notices, government/court websites or other external resources. LV Typing does not control the privacy practices, availability or content of those external websites. The destination site’s own policies apply when you leave LV Typing.
12. Data sharing
LV Typing does not sell personal information to advertisers. Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the website, such as hosting, email delivery, security, payment processing, analytics, consent or advertising providers when those services are enabled. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the service and its users.
13. Data retention
Account and progress information may be retained while an account is active and for a reasonable period needed for administration, security and support. Payment, accounting, fraud-prevention and audit records may need to be retained or anonymised even when other account data is erased, where retention is reasonably required for legal, accounting, payment-dispute or security purposes. Server-log retention follows the hosting/security configuration in use.
14. Your privacy choices and requests
Account tools may allow a logged-in student to request personal-data export or erasure through the WordPress privacy workflow. Erasure requests are subject to confirmation and do not require LV Typing to delete records that must reasonably be retained for payment/accounting/security or other lawful purposes. You can also manage browser storage through browser settings and use the choices presented by an applicable consent message.
15. Children and minors
LV Typing is an educational service. The website does not claim to operate a custom age-verification or guardian-consent system. Users who are not legally able to create an account or consent to applicable data processing should use the service with appropriate parent or guardian involvement. Parents or guardians can use the Contact page to raise a privacy concern or request review of a minor’s account data where applicable.
16. Security
Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to reduce unauthorised access, misuse and disruption, but no Internet service can promise absolute security. Keep your password private and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
17. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when website features, legal requirements or third-party services change. The updated date at the top of this page will change when a material revision is published.
18. Contact
For privacy, payment or account-related requests, use the Contact page on LV Typing.
