Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when you visit LV Typing, create or use a student account, practise typing, save eligible results, purchase Premium access, contact support, use the Cutoff Predictor, follow referral links, or interact with analytics and advertising services.

1. Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the LV Typing website and its student-facing services. LV Typing is an independent educational typing-learning and government-exam practice platform and is not a government website or recruiting authority.

This policy does not control the privacy practices of recruiting authorities, payment providers, Google, social platforms, hosting providers or other external services linked from LV Typing. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

2. Information You Choose to Provide

Depending on the feature you use, you may provide a name or display name, email address, account information, support message, selected Premium plan, coupon information, and other details you voluntarily include in a support request.

If you report a technical problem, you may also choose to provide a screenshot or information about the page, exam, browser or device involved.

Do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, banking passwords, full card numbers, CVV numbers or other secret payment credentials through the Contact form, support email, social messaging channels or screenshots.

3. Student Account, Email and Authentication Data

Student accounts use the WordPress account system together with LV Typing account features. Account records may include a name or display name, username, email address, protected password credential, account status, verification information, Premium entitlement status and security/session data needed to operate the account.

LV Typing does not require a mobile number for ordinary account registration or normal typing practice.

LV Typing may send account-verification, password-recovery, Premium-activation, payment-related, security or other service-related emails where required to operate the user's account or provide the requested service.

LV Typing does not need to know or display your plain-text account password.

If Google Sign-In is enabled and you choose to use it, Google may provide the basic account information required to identify, match or create your LV Typing account. LV Typing does not receive your Google password.

4. Typing Practice and Result Data

Typing features may calculate information such as time, speed/WPM, accuracy, mistakes, words or characters used for the result, language, difficulty or input mode, selected practice or exam reference, result status and date/time.

For eligible logged-in activity, some of this information may be stored as part of the student's progress or history.

Some secured exam-result flows may send the final typed response to the server when the user finishes the test so that it can be checked against the source passage. The normal progress-history system is intended to retain useful result information rather than operate as a permanent library of students' raw typed responses.

5. Premium Purchases, Razorpay Checkout, Mobile Number and Payment Data

When a user chooses to purchase Premium access, payment is processed through Razorpay or another payment provider configured by LV Typing.

LV Typing does not require a mobile number for ordinary account registration or normal typing practice. A mobile number may be requested within the Razorpay checkout interface when a user chooses to purchase Premium access.

During checkout, Razorpay may process customer contact information such as mobile number and email address as part of the payment transaction and in accordance with Razorpay's own privacy policy, checkout configuration and applicable requirements.

Depending on the transaction, the user's choices, the payment integration and the information made available by the payment provider, LV Typing may receive or retain payment-related information for legitimate transaction purposes.

Such information may include:

• account or user reference;
• selected Premium plan;
• order identifier and payment identifier;
• amount, discount or coupon information;
• payment status;
• activation and expiry information;
• refund or reversal status;
• email address and/or mobile number where made available as part of the payment transaction; and
• audit information reasonably required to reconcile Premium access, investigate a payment issue, provide billing support or prevent abuse.

Where LV Typing receives or stores a mobile number through a payment transaction, it is intended for legitimate payment reconciliation, billing support, transaction records, refund/reversal handling, security or related purchase-support purposes. Before using payment-derived contact information for a materially different purpose, LV Typing will provide an appropriate notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.

LV Typing does not intentionally store card PINs, CVV numbers, UPI PINs, banking passwords or other secret authentication credentials in its ordinary payment records. Sensitive payment credentials are handled within the payment provider's systems.

6. How We Use Information

Information may be processed where reasonably necessary to:

• create, identify and manage student accounts;
• provide login, verification, password-recovery and other account functions;
• provide typing lessons, practice, exam profiles and results;
• save eligible progress or result history;
• activate, maintain or verify Premium access;
• process and reconcile orders, payments, refunds or reversals;
• respond to account, payment, technical, privacy or content-support requests;
• diagnose errors and improve website reliability;
• protect accounts and website infrastructure;
• prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate submissions or automated misuse;
• maintain analytics and understand service performance where enabled;
• measure advertising or referral activity where applicable; and
• comply with applicable legal, accounting, security or transaction-record requirements.

7. Support, Contact Forms and Third-Party Messaging Channels

When you contact LV Typing through the website Contact form or support email, the information you submit may be delivered to the configured LV Typing support mailbox so the issue can be reviewed.

LV Typing may also provide links to third-party communication or social platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram or YouTube. If you choose to contact LV Typing through one of these services, the information you submit is also processed by that platform under its own terms and privacy policy.

Avoid sending passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, CVV numbers, banking passwords or unnecessary personal information through social messaging services. For detailed account, payment or privacy requests, use the LV Typing Contact form or support email whenever practical.

Support information may be retained for a reasonable period where necessary to resolve account, payment, technical, security, privacy or rule-correction issues and to maintain an appropriate audit or troubleshooting record.

If you send a screenshot, crop or hide unrelated personal or financial details wherever possible.

8. Technical, Hosting and Security Information

Web servers, hosting providers, CDN services, firewalls, login-security systems and error-monitoring tools may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, referrer, date/time, request headers, security events and technical/error logs.

This information may be used to operate the site, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, protect accounts and investigate suspicious activity.

9. Cookies and Browser Storage

Essential cookies or browser storage may be used to maintain login sessions, protect forms, remember security state and keep account or typing features working.

Analytics, advertising, referral or consent-management tools may use additional cookies, local storage or similar technologies where configured and legally permitted.

Where applicable law requires consent before a non-essential technology is used, LV Typing will present the relevant consent mechanism and respect the user's recorded choice.

10. Google AdSense and Advertising Technologies

Google AdSense may be used on eligible public pages of LV Typing. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, secure, limit, personalise where permitted, and measure advertisements.

Google and approved advertising technology providers may process information such as IP addresses, cookies, browser/device identifiers, web beacons or other identifiers as a result of ad serving, measurement and fraud prevention.

Google's advertising cookies may enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on a user's visits to LV Typing and/or other websites, where permitted.

Users may manage personalised advertising choices through Google Ads Settings. Where applicable law requires consent for advertising or measurement technologies, LV Typing will use an appropriate consent-management mechanism before the relevant processing occurs.

Where Google requires a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) for particular regions or advertising configurations, an appropriate Google-certified CMP must be configured separately; this Privacy Policy does not itself provide or replace that consent mechanism.

11. Analytics and First-Party Traffic Identifiers

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) currently in use. LV Typing currently uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on eligible public pages to understand aggregate website usage, page and event activity, traffic patterns, reliability and service performance. Google Analytics may process information such as first-party cookies or similar identifiers, browser or device information, page and event data, approximate location and IP-related network information, subject to the applicable consent settings and Google’s policies.

Where LV Typing's local analytics or traffic-safety features are enabled, the site may use a first-party visitor identifier so page use can be counted without intentionally keeping a raw IP address in the local visitor table.

Hosting, firewall, advertising, security or other infrastructure systems may separately process IP addresses where needed for their own legitimate operational or protection functions.

12. Affiliate and Referral Information

LV Typing operates an optional creator/affiliate referral programme. When a visitor opens an eligible partner or referral link, LV Typing may record the campaign or partner reference and aggregate click information.

A signed first-party referral cookie may preserve attribution for a configured campaign period such as 24 or 48 hours, and a separate 'seen' cookie may be used for up to 30 days for unique-click counting.

If a qualifying Premium payment is successfully captured, the internal payment/order record may be associated with the campaign so commission can be calculated, approved, refunded/reversed where necessary and marked paid.

Private affiliate reporting is designed not to expose student names, email addresses, mobile numbers, IP addresses or private anti-abuse identifiers to the affiliate.

13. LV Cutoff Predictor

A normal LV Cutoff Predictor score response does not require a name, email address or mobile number.

Depending on the selected recruitment, a response may include exam/stage context, category, gender where relevant, shift or paper-difficulty selection, score or correct/wrong/unattempted counts, and applicable horizontal-category or verified merit-weightage inputs used by that recruitment.

To reduce duplicate or abusive submissions, the predictor may generate one-way HMAC identifiers from a browser/device token and limited technical signals. The predictor response database is designed to store those derived identifiers rather than the raw device token.

Its anti-abuse controls do not intentionally write raw IP addresses or raw browser user-agent strings into the predictor response table. Hosting, firewall or other security systems may still process technical network information separately.

Responses may be held or flagged when duplicate or burst behaviour is detected. These safeguards are intended to protect prediction quality and do not make an expected cutoff an official result.

14. When Information May Be Shared

LV Typing may use service providers that are necessary to operate the website, such as hosting, email delivery, authentication, payment processing, analytics, advertising, consent-management and security providers.

LV Typing shares information with service providers only to the extent reasonably necessary for the relevant service and the purpose for which the provider is engaged.

Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal process, protect the service or users, investigate fraud or abuse, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

LV Typing does not need to sell student account information in order to provide its typing-learning and practice services.

15. Data Retention

Different records have different purposes. Account information may remain while the account exists and for such additional period as is reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, technical, legal or administrative purposes.

Typing-result history may remain while the related progress feature is active. Payment, refund and audit records may need to be retained for accounting, dispute handling, fraud prevention, legal or transaction-reconciliation purposes.

Security and technical logs may be retained for a limited operational period appropriate to the system. Support communications may be retained while an issue is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where a troubleshooting or audit record is useful.

Information may be removed, anonymised or aggregated when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to applicable technical, transaction, security and legal requirements.

16. Security

LV Typing uses reasonable technical and administrative measures intended to reduce unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or loss. Depending on the feature, these may include secure web transport, access controls, protected password handling, session protections, form security, payment verification, rate limiting, anti-abuse controls and limited administrative access.

No internet service can promise absolute security. Users should protect their own account credentials, email account and devices.

17. Personal-Data Security Incidents

If LV Typing becomes aware of a personal-data security incident, it may investigate the incident, take reasonable steps to contain or mitigate the issue, and make notifications where required under applicable law.

18. Children and Younger Students

LV Typing is educational in nature and may be useful to students of different ages. A person who is not legally able to create an account, provide the required consent or make a purchase independently should use the relevant feature with the involvement or consent of a parent or lawful guardian where required by applicable law.

LV Typing does not intentionally request unnecessary sensitive information about a child through general support channels. Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent, or imposes additional restrictions on a child's personal data, LV Typing will apply those requirements to the relevant feature.

19. Access, Correction, Deletion and Privacy Requests

You may contact LV Typing to:

• ask about personal information associated with your account;
• request correction of inaccurate account information;
• request deletion of eligible account or profile information;
• raise a privacy concern; or
• exercise another privacy right available under applicable law.

A request may require reasonable verification before action is taken. Certain payment, transaction, fraud-prevention, security, audit, dispute or legal records may need to be retained even after ordinary profile information is removed.

20. Consent and Withdrawal of Consent

Where LV Typing relies on consent for a particular processing activity, you may withdraw that consent using the relevant website control or by contacting LV Typing where appropriate.

Withdrawal applies to future processing based on that consent and does not automatically invalidate processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Some essential account, security or transaction functions may not be available if information required to provide those functions can no longer be processed.

21. External Links and Third-Party Services

LV Typing may link to official recruitment websites, government notices, result documents, payment providers, social platforms, educational references or other third-party services.

When you leave LV Typing and visit another service, that external service controls its own privacy practices. Review the privacy information of the external service before providing personal information there.

22. International or Third-Party Processing

Some service providers used to operate, secure, measure or monetise LV Typing may process information using infrastructure located in India or other countries. Where cross-border or third-party processing is subject to legal restrictions, LV Typing will handle such processing in accordance with applicable requirements.

23. Data Minimisation and Sensitive Credentials

Provide only the information reasonably necessary for the feature you are using. Ordinary typing practice, Cutoff Predictor responses and support requests do not require banking passwords, UPI PINs, card PINs, CVV numbers or OTPs.

Do not place those secrets in a support message, screenshot or free-text field. If a screenshot is useful for troubleshooting, crop or hide unrelated personal and financial information before sending it.

24. Changes to this Privacy Policy

LV Typing may update this Privacy Policy when website features, payment arrangements, advertising, analytics, security systems, legal requirements or third-party services change. Material changes will be reflected in the current published policy.
